Welcome to The Prairie Church
Loving Jesus. Making Disciples.

We are a new church plant excited to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus, share His love by loving others, and provide a place where people can know Him more and worship Him freely.

Our goal is to provide an encounter with Jesus each time we meet.  We will strive to lead the congergation in worship, word, and prayer.

Worship:

Psalms 150:1-5 says, Praise the LORD. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with timbrel and dancing, praise Him with the strings and pipe, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals.

It is our desire to have dynamic music for praise and worship as Psalms 150 calls. We believe that God inhabits the praise of his people. Where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom and fullness of joy.  Scientific study shows that our brains cannot respond to anxiety and gratitude at the same time. God made us for worship and connection.  Worship is an opportunity to connect with God and reset our minds and hearts.

Word:

II Timothy 3:16 declares  that all Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.

We will strive to preach and teach the living word of God as II Timothy 3:16 directs.  In a time where truth isn't always prevalent, we can depend on God's word to lead us to truth.  It leads us and comforts us in knowing we are not going to copy the behavior and customs of this world. Letting God transform us into a new people by changing the way we think. Then we will learn to know God’s will for us, which is good and pleasing and perfect.  Jesus said, "the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they make have it more abundantly."  May this church be a community of believers who support, and guide others with the word of God that we may all experience life more abundantly.

Prayer

Matthew 18:18-20 says "I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

It is important to us that every person feels the freedom to ask for prayer, or find a place at their seat or at the altar, for any reason to pray. We believe Jesus is our advocate to the Father who interceeds for us.  We have an opportunity during each service to set aside a time for an altar call so each person present can spend time in God's presence, in unity with like believers. It is our ministry to lay hands on the sick that they may recover, to pray for those who desire prayer and to tarry in the presence of God.
