Edd and Debbie were married in 1988 and have five kids, 10 grandkids, and four great-grandkids. They believe the secret to a great marriage is open, honest, communication, and being willing to admit when you are wrong. They met while Edd was stationed at Ft. Riley and Debbie was a freshman at Kansas State University. Edd mostly grew up in Jacksonville, AR, but spent most of his summers at his grandparents' home. He would attend church service on Saturday morning, Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. Edd attributes his remaining in the faith because of his praying grandparents. Edd is going to be a lay minister at The Prairie Church.Debbie grew up in a large home with five sisters and one brother in Kansas City, Missouri. She remembers sitting on the kitchen floor on Saturday night with her siblings, shining their shoes for the next day's church service. However, by the time high school came around, she had quit attending church. However, when Edd and her were married, they knew it was time to find a church home. They've been in church ever since. Debbie loves the Word (John 1:14); and is adamant about getting her quiet time in with the Lord through worship, journaling and the Word. She hopes to instill that same love of learning of the Lord with everyone she meets. She will be blessing The Prairie with teaching and leading.
